Keble fellow awarded L'Oreal UK Fellowship for women in science.

The L'Oreal UK Fellowships for Women in Science were created by L'Oreal UK, the UK National Commission for UNESCO and the Royal Institution to promote, celebrate, enhance and encourage the role and achevements of UK women in the fields of the life and physical sciences. The Fellowship of £10,000 was awarded to Dr Burt de Perera in recognition of her research on spatial cognition in animals; in particular, how fish manage to navigate within a 3 dimensional aquatic environment. The judging committee for this year's competition was chaired by Baroness Susan Greenfield.
