Keble in the snow - photo competition

Tuesday 20 February 2007

February snow provided the opportunity for College to hold an impromptu photography competition on the theme of 'Keble in the Snow'. Open to all staff and students, 105 entries were emailed to the Senior Dean, Ali Rogers. A panel of three judges including Dr Stephen Heyes (the Garden Master), Caroline Brett (College Gardener) and Emma Newcombe selected winners in four categories: Buildings, won by Richard Lowkes; nature, won by Toby Miller; People, won by Alexander Klein; and a class for pictures taken with a mobile phone, won by Martin Rendell. The judges were so impressed by the imagination, with and technique of the submissions, that it is hoped to repeat the exercise next year, weather permitting. The prize-winning photographs, runners-up and highly commended pictures, can be viewed by clicking on the link.
