Keble Oarsmen Victorious over Cambridge at the 160th Boat Race

Monday 07 April 2014

Congratulations to Keble oarsmen, victorious over Cambridge yesterday at the 160th Boat Race.  Oxford won the race with the biggest margin since 1973.  The reserve boat race was also won by the Dark Blues.

Keble Graduate student Storm Uru, who is completing his MBA, rowed at bow in the Blue Boat.  Storm came to Keble from Massey University, New Zealand.  He competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics, winning a bronze medal in the lightweight double scull.

Undergraduates Will Geffen (1st Year Chemistry) and Dominic Parr (1st Year Economics and Management) were also in the Blue Squad.  Will was in Isis, the reserve boat, and Dominic was in the spare pair.
