Marija Pecar voted best speaker at the Roman law moot

Tuesday 19 June 2007

On 14 June 2007, a first year lawyer at Keble, Marija Pecar (pictured immediately to the right of the shield), was voted best speaker at the Roman law moot between Oxford and Cambridge. The moot was a legal advocacy competition between Oxford and Cambridge. The top law students of both Universities argued about a Roman law problem set in the 6th century AD. It was judged by a panel of the Regius Professors of Law at Oxford and Cambridge who remarked on the extremely high standard of the competition and singled Marija out as the best speaker for the precision and clarity of her argument.
