Parishes Day

Thursday 13 September 2007

As part of its historic background, the College is patron to 67 livings (parishes) in the Church of England. It invites parishioners to services and holds regular conferences for the incumbents. Saturday's Parishes Day, organised by the Chaplain, was part of this programme, and parishioners arrived from churches in Bradford, Birmingham, London, Mitcham, Chipping Ongar, Eastbourne and Oxford (St Barnabas). 180 people sat down to lunch in Hall, and the afternoon continued with a fine choral Evensong. Luckily it was a fine warm day for September, and the visitors were very appreciative.
