Professor Sarah Whatmore elected Fellow of the British Academy

Professor Sarah Whatmore has been elected as a Fellow of the British Academy, one of 42 new fellows in 2014.  She joins two other current Keble Professorial Fellows, Chris Gosden (2005) and Terry Irwin (2010) among the more than 900 fellows of the Academy.  Sarah is Professor of Environment and Public Policy at the School of Geography and the Environment and a Fellow of Keble College.

Founded in 1902, the British Academy promotes academic excellence and knowledge exchange through its fellows, funds research in the humanities and social sciences and contributes an independent voice to national and international debates on associated matters.
