The Revd Dr Charlotte Methuen becomes the first Canon Theologian at Gloucester

Congratulations on this important appointment to Charlotte Methuen, who holds a departmental lecturership in the Faculty of Theology in association with Keble, where she is also assisting chaplain. Charlotte's research is into ecclesiastical history, especially the German Reformation, the relation of science and theology, the role of women in the church and the ecumenical movement between the First and Second World Wars. She is an active participant in the ongoing discussion about women bishops in the Church of England. The Rt Revd Michael Perham, Bishop of Gloucester, is himself a Keble graduate, and will be presiding and confirming at this term's corporate communion service at 7 pm on Thursday, February 15th.
