Entered College in Michaelmas Term, 1911. Classical Scholar. A member of the 1st Rugby Football XV, 1911 - 1914. 2nd Class. Mods., 1913. A member of the University Contingent of the Officers' Training Corps. Commenced service in October 1914. Second Lieutenant, 5th Battalion of the South Wales Borderers. 59th Battalion, Machine Gun Corps, 1916; Lieutenant, 1916; Captain, 1917 serving in France. Killed in action at Marcoing, Battle of Cambrai, 30 November 1917.
