Entered College in Michaelmas Term, 1902. Classical Scholar. Member of the 1st Rugby Football XV, 1902 - 1904; the Seniors' Rugger Trial, 1903; 1st Hockey XI, 1902 - 1905 (Captain 1904 - 1905); 1st Cricket XI, 1903 - 1905; Lawn Tennis VI, 1903 - 1905; Athletics team, 1902 - 1905; University Athletics Team (100 yds.), 1905. President of the Essay Club, 1905; XIII Club, 1905. Achieved 3rd Class. Mods., 1904. Joined the Royal Irish Constabulary, 1905 (twice being granted Good Service Pay). Commenced service on the 12 October 1914, Captain of the 1st Irish Guards serving in France. Mentioned in Despatches. Died on the 12 June 1915 of wounds received at Bethune, 17 May 1915.
