Entered College in Lent Term, 1901. A member of the 1st Cricket XI, 1901 - 1903 (Captain, 1902 - 1903); 1st Hockey XI, 1901 - 1903; University 1st Hockey XI, 1902 - 1904. 4th Jurisprudence and B.A., 1903; M.A., 1907. Solicitor, 1906: practised at Newton Abbot (partner, Watts, Woollcombe and Watts, 1906 - 1917). Played cricket for Devon, 1902, 1908; hockey for Devon and the West Counties, 1904. Commenced service in October, 1914. 7th (Cyclist) Battalion (Territorial), Devonshire Regiment; Captain, 1916; attached to the 2nd Battalion, 1917; Died from wounds received in the 3rd Battle of Ypres, 11 August 1917.
