Entered College in Michaelmas Term, 1910. A member of the University Contingent of the Officers' Training Corps. 3rd History and B.A., 1913. Assistant Master at the Preparatory School, Deal, 1913 - 1914; Ely Theology College, 1914.

Commenced service in September 1914. Second Lieutenant of the 4th Battalion, Oxford and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry. Captain of the 2/4th Battalion, 1915. Served in France. Killed in action in Hebuterne on the 28 December, 1915.
