Entered College in Michaelmas Term, 1910. A member of the College 1st VIII in Eights Week, 1912 - 1913. 3rd Lit. Hum., 1913; B.A., 1916. Commenced service on 17 November 1914. Royal Field Artillery, 1914; Captain, 1915; Major, 124th Battery, 1917. Served in France and Belgium. Mentioned in Despatches, 1917. Awarded an M.C., 1918. Killed in action, Ingbyghem, near Courtrai, 1 November 1918.
