Entered College in Michaelmas Term, 1908. Classical Scholar. President of the Debating Society, 1910; JCR, 1911; Essay Club, 1911; XIII Club, 1912. A member of the 1st Torpid, 1909, 1911. 2nd Class. Mods., 1910; 3rd Lit. Hum., 1912; B.A., 1913; M.A., 1915. A member of the University Contingent of the Officers' Training Corps, commenced service on 6 October 1914. Second Lieutenant, 3rd Battalion, South Wales Borderers. Killed in action at the Battle of Loos, 25 September 1915.
