Entered College in Michaelmas Term, 1907. Participated in the Freshmen's Cricket Trial, 1908. A member of the 1st Cricket XI, 1908-11 (Captain 1910); Seniors' Cricket Trial, 1909; 1st Torpid, 1910-11. A member of the University Contingent of the Officers' Training Corps. B.A, 1913; M.A., 1914. Played cricket for Worcestershire. R. of O. (O.T.C.), 1913. Commenced service on 5 August 1914. Second Lieutenant of the  3rd Battalion, Worcestershire Regiment, 1914. Served in France and Belgium. Killed in action at Kemmel, 12 March 1915.
