Entered College in Michaelmas Term, 1904. Brother of John Stanley Gibbs (1898). A member of the 1st Rugby Football XV, 1906 - 1908. President of the XIII Club, 1908. B.A., 1911; M.A., 1914. Attended Cuddesdon, 1910. Took Holy Orders, (d. 1911; p. 1913). Curate at Adwick-le-Street, 1911 - 1913; Armley, 1913 - 1918; Domestic Chaplain to the Archbishop of York. Commenced service on 18 September 1917. Temporary Chaplain to the Forces (4th Class), 1917, attached to the Grenadier Guards. Killed in action on the 29 March 1918.
