Prof Richard Washington

Fellow in Geography

Welcome

Welcome to my web page and to Geography at Keble.

Along with Dr Ali Rogers, Fiona Ferbrache, Abi Stone and Carly Leighton,  I teach undergraduate Geography at Keble. I also hold the post of Professor of Climate Science in the Oxford University Centre for the Environment (www.ouce.ox.ac.uk) where I also supervise postgraduate students studing climate science, teach all the geography undergraduates in lectures and lab classes and run my research projects.

I teach most aspects of Physical Geography to Keble undergraduates. My broad research interests are climate change and variability although much of my work is centered on the climate of the tropics, particularly rainfall and aerosols in Africa and the mechanisms which drive interannual variability.

We would like to encourage anyone thinking of applying to study Geography at Keble to go to our website: http://www.keble-oxford-geography.info. We also maintain a blog for Keble geographers here: http://www.keble-oxford-geography.info/?page_id=6
