Professor Richard Washington

Fellow in Geography

Professor of Climate Science

Welcome

Welcome to my web page and to Geography at Keble.

Along with Dr Beth Greenhough and Dr Fiona Ferbrache and Sam Hampton,  I teach undergraduate Geography at Keble. I also hold the post of Professor of Climate Science in the Oxford University Centre for the Environment where I also supervise postgraduate students studying climate science, teach all the geography undergraduates in lectures and lab classes and run my research projects.

I teach most aspects of Physical Geography to Keble undergraduates. My broad research interests are climate change and variability although much of my work is centered on the climate of the tropics, particularly rainfall and aerosols in Africa and the mechanisms that drive interannual variability and change.

We would like to encourage anyone thinking of applying to study Geography at Keble to go to our website http://www.keble-oxford-geography.info.

We also maintain a blog for Keble geographers here: http://www.keble-oxford-geography.info/?page_id=6
