Frequently Asked Questions

While every attempt is made here to provide useful admissions advice for candidates applying to Keble, you should be aware that this information does not necessarily reflect official University admissions policy.  Colleges do not have uniform admissions policies and you should not assume that other Colleges would answer these enquiries in the same way.

Is it possible to visit Keble before I apply?

Visits to Keble are more than welcome although we would appreciate it if you would check with our Admissions Office (+44 (0) 1865-272711) before coming.

How many Graduates do you take each year?

We take approximately 100 new Graduates each year. We take for most subjects that fall within the broad Research areas of our Fellows.

What financial assistance is available?

As well as the range of graduate scholarships provided by the College which are detailed elsewhere in this section, and we also make available grants to support the study and travel activities of current students.

What other support is provided?

The College assigns a college advisor to each graduate student, to be available to provide general advice and support when necessary. The adviser will usually be a Fellow in the same subject area. See the further details on this at the link on the left.

How do I confirm funding arrangements?

University and College Fees are payable in one instalment at the beginning of the academic year, and we will require confirmation that you have these funds and those for maintenance when an offer of a place is made to you. Examples of funding can be in the form of an original bank statement/Company Sponsorship letters/Government Sponsorship Letters.

Once we are satisfied you have sufficient funds for the duration of your course we will put your name down for College accommodation, and write to confirm your place at Keble College.

Do you offer accommodation to all Fresher Graduates?

We only have approx 80 rooms available to Graduate Freshers each year, and cannot guarantee accommodation to all applicants.  However we do try our best and for the last few years we have managed to accommodate all the Freshers that required accommodation.

Are we housed in Keble College?

Most of our Graduate rooms are in our Graduate Acland Site, a five minute walk from Keble.
