Visiting College
Old Members and their guests are welcome to visit the College on any day of the year and the College is open to visitors from 7am to 7pm. In addition, Old Members can stay or have meals in College at various times. Details of what the College can offer Old Members is listed below. The Alumni and Development Office and Ruth Cowen, Alumni Relations Officer, in particular is always very pleased to meet Old Members visiting the College during office hours.
Meals
Lunch
During term time
Old Members are welcome to have lunch in Hall on weekdays during term times. No prior booking is required unless the party exceeds five people (in which case booking is through the Alumni and Development Office in advance, or before 10am that day). Payment is by cash at the tills. The lunch menu varies daily but there is always a hot option and standard fare of a pasta dish, baked potato or pizza, and salad. A two course lunch with fruit or yoghurt costs about £5.
Café Keble
During term times Café Keble in the Douglas Price Room of the Sloane Robinson Building is open from 11am to 6pm to Old Members as well as all members of the College for refreshments. Coffee, soft drinks, sandwiches and a selection of cakes and pastries are available and payment is by cash at the till.
Dinner
At High Table during term time
Old Members are welcome to dine at High Table without a guest on any Monday, Wednesday or Thursday during full Term, five years or more after receiving their most recent degree. Dinner is at 7.10pm (no gowns) and Old Members can convene in the SCR from 6.30pm.
Bookings can be made in advance by telephoning 01865 282303 or emailing alumni.events@keble.ox.ac.uk or no later than 10 am that day. Dinner costs £20 for three courses including wine or £13 without. We would ask for payment at the time of booking, preferably by a credit or debit card.
Bed and Breakfast
In the vacations
Old Members can book overnight accommodation in College with breakfast in Hall the following morning for themselves, family and friends. Bookings can be made here. En suite single, double and twin-bedded rooms are available as well as some family suites. Prices vary and start at £35 for a single and £60 for a twin or double bedded room. A preferential rate is given to Old Members. To obtain the code, which is entered during the booking procedure, email alumni@keble.ox.ac.uk or telephone 01865 282303. Please note that if the website shows no availability on the date/s required it is an indication that there is Reunion Weekend or other alumni event, or that a large conference has booked all available rooms.
During term times
A few Fellows’ Guest rooms (a single, a twin and a double) with shared bathrooms are available during term times – these can be booked through the Alumni and Development Office. The cost is £40 for the single and £60 for the twin and double, and includes breakfast on a week day morning or brunch at weekends. Rooms are bookable through the Alumni and Development Office by emailing alumni@keble.ox.ac.uk or telephoning 01865 282303.
Conference Facilities
If you are planning a day time meeting in Oxford, the College has a suite of four meeting rooms which can take between 10 and 60 people at 23 Banbury Road. Parking is available. For further information and booking rates contact the Conference Office.
