A Gravure Etching by Andrew Ingamells

Capital Prints

This meticulously detailed, original etching is only the second engraved print to be made of Keble from an aerial perspective and is the first to include the modern range of buildings on its western edge. Signed and numbered by the artist Andrew Ingamells, it perfectly captures the College’s remarkable blend of high Victorian neo-Gothic and modern design. There are only 100 etchings in the edition, and they are available in two forms, either black and white or handcoloured. See the Capital Prints website for more information www.capitalprints.com.

Brian Lewis Print

BrianLewisKeble

Norfolk painter, Brian Lewis was commissioned by two Old Members to paint a picture of the College. Now completed, the vibrant, cheerful painting has exceptional detail of the brickwork and shows the view from Pusey Quad towards the Chapel. It was presented to the College in late January, in celebration of the life of Tom Riseborough (1965 Modern Languages), who died in 2005. The painting now hangs in the Warden’s study.

Prints are obtainable from Brian’s website www.art-e-mail.com.  25% of each sale will be donated to the College. As the purchase is finalised please write: ‘Keble Old Member’ in the Customer’s comment field.

Liddon Quad Watercolour by Chris Fothergill

Chris Fothergill

This striking view of Liddon Quad will be a most familiar image in the memories of Keble College alumni. It was created by architect William Butterfield in the mid nineteenth century who claimed to have ‘had a mission to give dignity to brick’. It is an inspired example of Victorian Gothic architecture.

Nearly a century and a half later Oxfordshire-based artist Chris Fothergill has painted the scene using traditional water-colour techniques, and we now have a unique opportunity to acquire a copy of this in the form of a limited edition print.

You can order directly through Chris’ website. Each print is numbered and signed individually by the artist and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, also numbered. A contribution of 15% of the price of each print will be donated to Keble College.
