Redevelopment of the Acland Site
A bold vision requires a brave new home; Keble is building precisely that. The Acland site occupies the space between the new University Humanities Quarter and the Science & Engineering Area with its complex of laboratories and departments. This area of Oxford just to the north of the city centre will become the epicentre of the 21st century University.
Less than five minutes’ walk from the main College, those living and working in the new facilities will be fully integrated into the life of Keble.
Here a building scheme has been designed by award-winning architect Rick Mather which will be one of the most exciting and significant new Oxford building projects of this century.
The development will house the new Keble Advanced Studies Centre. It will also provide living, study, and seminar spaces for visiting academics, research and professorial fellows, research graduates and final year undergraduate students, thus creating a vibrant new community at the heart of the University.

The scheme includes an impressive new quad and the Headquarters of the Advanced Studies Centre in a strategic position facing on to the new Humanities Quarter of the University and the new Institute of Mathematics.
We hope this will appeal as a unique opportunity for a donor or partner organization, national or international, which shares the College’s mission of stimulating and fostering ideas without boundaries.
