Jeffrey is a Stipendiary Lecturer in Computer Science and DPhil Computer Science student at Keble.

Jeffrey’s research interest lies within computational biology, where he investigates the use of interpretable machine and deep learning models for CRISPR-Cas9 off-target cleavage activity prediction. Specifically, his research specializes on the use of computational epigenetic scores, physico-chemical/structural protein descriptors, and large language model embeddings as input features to such models. Prior to the stipendiary lectureship, Jeffrey was a graduate teaching assistant at the Department of Computer Science, where he ran and led undergraduate practical labs for various modules, notably Databases and Design and Analysis of Algorithms. He also completed the Advanced Teaching and Learning programme at the Centre for Teaching and Learning in 2021, and was admitted as an Associate Fellow in the Higher Education Academy, UK. Jeffrey previously completed his BEng in Computer Science at the University of Hong Kong and his MSc in Computer Science at Oxford.
