Fellow Elected to the British Academy

Congratulations to Professor Ursula Coope, who has been elected to a British Academy Fellowship.

The Academy selects Fellows from across the disciplines of the humanities and social sciences on the basis of academic distinction. Only one or two scholars are elected in most fields each year.

Ursula Coope is Professor of Ancient Philosophy in the Faculty of Philosophy and a Professorial Fellow of Keble College. Her research focuses on Aristotle, especially philosophy of nature and action, and Neoplatonist philosophy, especially questions about freedom and responsibility.
