The annual EES Lectureship recognises an outstanding early-career researcher working in energy science. As this year’s recipient, Robert will receive a £1,000 honorarium, the opportunity to present his research at a leading international conference and an invitation to join the Energy & Environmental Science Advisory Board.
Robert is an Associate Professor at the Department of Materials where he leads research investigating novel materials for lithium-ion and next-generation batteries. He is one of the Royal Academy of Engineering’s inaugural Green Future Fellows, exploring lithium batteries for electric flight, and is also Principal Investigator of the Faraday Institution’s 3D-CAT project, which is developing new lithium-rich cathode materials.
