Benjamin Skipp is Stipendiary Lecturer in Music at Keble.

Benjamin completed his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at Oxford University. He teaches courses on music-historical topics, analysis and musical thought and scholarship. His research to date has focussed on minimalist repertoires, particularly that of Steve Reich and Arvo Part but he is fascinated by many musical practices from the eighteenth century onwards. As well as his academic profile, he loves to perform and is an oboist and an examiner for the Royal Schools of Music.

Benjamin is very keen to teach students who have a desire to study, perform and think critically about any type of music. He is enthusiastic about musicology in all of its forms, and loves to share this passion with like-minded students across the whole gamut of musical styles.
