James Goudkamp is Professor of the Law of Obligations at the University of Oxford and a Fellow and Tutor in Law at Keble College, Oxford.
James specialises in private law subjects, especially tort law. He is the author of over 100 publications. James’s research has focused on defences (especially the contributory negligence and illegality doctrines) although he has also published extensively about, among other topics, the duty of care element of the tort of negligence and the law of damages.
